My approach

As a psychotherapist I aim to create a non-judgemental, empathic and authentic relationship with you, which enables you to use it for your personal growth. I draw on both Person-Centred and Psychodynamic theories to inform my practice.  Through building a trusting and understanding relationship I help you to access what is on the edge of your understanding about yourself and facilitate the desired change and growth. My hope is that this way of relating will connect with you as a potential client and that you will view it as having benefit for you.

Getting Help

Our emotional well-being is as important as our physical well-being. At times we can feel emotionally ‘unwell’. This is where I can help. Firstly, I would like to say well done for starting the process of asking for help, it takes great courage to make that step towards change. We all have difficulties in life and sometimes we need to go somewhere outside our family and friends and to work through these issues with someone else. If you are you experiencing loss or bereavement, stress at work, relationship issues, low mood or depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or self-confidence or anything else that may be hindering your life, I can work with you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours as a way to improve and maintain your sense of emotional well-being. You have taken to first step by deciding to look for someone to help you. Searching for the right therapist or counsellor can be daunting.

Thank you for visiting my website. I offer counselling and psychotherapy sessions for individuals in-person in my private practice in Waterloo, Liverpool, L22; or by telephone, or online. If you are interested in finding out about individual counselling or therapy with me then please make contact to arrange an initial short telephone consultation with no obligation.
